Who We Are
Ragland Strother and Lafitte’s business was built on relationships and will continue its growth based on the principle that people do business with an agency they trust, feel comfortable with and have confidence in. Customizing an insurance program to meet the business and personal needs of our clients is what we do. The relationship that develops is who we are.
Our TeamOur Story
Ragland Strother & Lafitte (RSL) was established on January 1, 1995, through the merger of Cornerstone Insurance Agency and Ragland Insurance Agency, uniting the expertise of Cruger S. Ragland, W. Scott Ragland, William E. Strother, and D. Gregg Lafitte. Today, the agency is led by partners Scott Ragland, Gregg Lafitte, and Warren Lee.
The Ragland Legacy
The Ragland family's insurance roots reach back to the early 1900s, beginning with Craddock & Smith Insurance Agency. Alphonso Ragland Jr. founded Ragland Insurance Agency in 1943; his son, Cruger Ragland, joined the firm in 1954, and his grandson, Scott Ragland, followed in 1978. Three generations of the family earned the prestigious CPCU designation, with Scott becoming the first third-generation CPCU recipient in the United States. Multiple generations also served as presidents of the Texas Association of Insurance Agents.
The Cornerstone Legacy
Cornerstone Insurance traces its Dallas roots back more than 60 years. In 1984, the Lafitte family acquired the Ogden Lockett Insurance Agency and renamed it Cornerstone Insurance. Gregg Lafitte joined the agency in 1987 and Bill Strother in 1989, and the firm continued to grow through strategic acquisitions, including the 1991 purchase of the Shaffer Agency, which established Cornerstone's entertainment insurance division.
The Lee Insurance Legacy
Warren Lee founded Lee Insurance Services in Dallas in 2007, building an agency with a client base, culture, and relationship-driven approach to the business that closely mirrored RSL's own. In 2020, Lee Insurance acquired the David Rembert Agency, and Cam Rembert joined the Lee Insurance team as the two agencies came together. Warren's longstanding relationship with Scott Ragland and Gregg Lafitte, paired with the shared values between the two firms, made Lee Insurance's merger with RSL in 2026 a natural fit, bringing Warren into the firm's leadership as a partner.

Before moving into insurance, Ryan worked in commercial real estate on both sides of the business — as a tenant representation broker with Colliers International and as a project manager with commercial general contractor Structure Tone Southwest. That background gives him a firsthand understanding of how developers, owners, and contractors operate, which he now applies to his work with clients in lessor's risk, habitational, contractors, and high-net-worth personal lines. Ryan holds his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Ryan is a graduate of Highland Park High School and the University of Mississippi.
